It cones with a coffee scoop. it has a stay cool plunger handle and a stay cool handle. It comes apart for easy cleaning and is diswhaser safe. Also it can be put into the microwave for heating. Here is a review I found of this model: "I have used coffee presses for years and this model is great because the carafe is all glass and plastic - no metal. I can put the carafe (minus lid, which does contain metal) directly in the microwave. I heat the water on high power for 4 1/2 minutes, add coffee grounds, stir, wait a minute, then press. Fast, Simple, Space Saving. I take this on campouts and on vacations, too." Z
