Vintage Original Early Lionel Prewar 217 Passenger Car Lighting Set Ca 1915. You are looking at Lionel's early period three car original lighting set 217. This outfit 217 is described in the catalog "A consist of flexible cords equipped with lamp sockets and bulbs... The effects of the Pullmans cars illuminated by these lamps is very realistic and materially adds to appearance of the train". This Lionel 217 all original consist includes 3 Wooden Sockets, 2 regular clips, and one rear observation car clip. All parts are attached a 58" long cloth covered wire grouping. Also included are 3 Lionel wooden bulb canisters and three light bulbs. The wire has at least 4 crimps and wear between the rear observation socket and the middle socket. The wire end which is plyer stripped is missing the small copper "U" type connector. An original catalog page 43 describes the outfit and is included with the purchase. Overall original condition is good to very good on this hard to find early prewar accessory item. Please see sellers other items.
