Antique Silk Satin Runner Dresser Scarf~Chenille Thread Embroidered Flowers 20s - $35 - (Hampton, IA)

FABULOUS! Antique silk runner or dresser scarf. Each end has an embroidered flower in fluffy velvet chenille thread. There are scrolls and swooshes of deep hand embroidery that go from the ends and down the side edges. Deep maroon burgundy color~has an embossed pattern on pattern. Fully lined in back with a soft polished cotton. Probably dates around the 1920s or earlier. Measures 32" x 12" Good condition. I have not cleaned or treated this runner. There is a large and old water mark on the back. If it shows on the front I can't really see it. The "pattern on pattern" sheen of the fabric weave creates shadows and light so it makes hard to see any spots or stains. There is a faint whitish line mark next to one of the flowers (see last photo). I don't see any other damage. Fabric is sturdy and strong. We are a non smoking home.
