You are bidding on a Very Rare Vintage Antique Vendex Pencil Machine from 1925. This machine allows you to print any name on a Pencil for a nickel. Made of mostly metal and front where the words are appears to be a nickel plating and the words are embossed in the metal. What’s cool and different about this Vendex machine and sets it apart from a plain-old pencil vendor is that it can emboss a 16-character custom message on a pencil barrel! The customer inserts a nickel, slides a series of 16 levers to a corresponding letter or character for their message, pulls the handle on the side, and PRESTO personalized pencil! It does work but ink pad is dried up and will need to be re inked to work 100%. Still puts your name on the pencil just no color to the words. In very good shape for its age. A few things have been replaced with remade parts, including the Back door, Top Marquee and the front glass & the decal on it. All are pretty close to correct and remade from original parts. Also Comes with period correct pencil sharpener on the side and a black stand, but stand is not original to the machine. Everything else is 100 % original and in very good shape I believe with some light paint loose hear and there and scratches and scuffs. Please view all pics and ask any questions. Can ship anywhere in the US but will have to be shipped in two boxes and the stand will have to be removed and taken apart.Also can deliver most places in Michigan or Northern Ohio or the Chicagoland Show in November on Friday only.
