Chinese Qing Dynasty c18th/19th Century Huali ? High Back Temple Scholars Carved Chairs. High Backs with Hand Carved Wood Back. Yoke Back with 4 split rails curved to form backing. Both chairs have red wax seals from China. The chairs are hand carved and signed by the artison. Pictures of the signature of the artison and the red wax seals are present. Custom cloth seating pads light red in color are present for both chairs. Fantastic Sturdy pair of chairs. A pair of chairs without cushions have went in auction for over $350,000.00.
