This listing is a 1950's BATTERY OPERATED BLINKY THE CLOWN - WITH THE LIGHT IN HIS EYES w/box as shown. It is in PRISTINE MINT condition. It is fully functional with a very strong mechanism. Clothing is as new. Everything about this toy is nice and clean. Shines like the day it left the factory. The drum is complete with the cellophane covering on both sides of the drum intact and undamaged. To operate, push the switch on the remote and he does all 5 actions correctly as follows: (1) He walks forward, (2) He moves his head side to side, (3) His eyes light up, (4) He beats the drum with his left hand, (5) He beats the drum with his right hand. Remote battery compartment is nice and includes the original battery directional card. Wire to remote is supple with no breaks or damage. This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" toy listed in Don Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed & pictured on page 32. It is a 1950's era toy made by the Amico Co. It has a rarity of 8 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $600.00 in C-10 condition without the box. The box is in mint condition with the original packaging inserts. Would make a nice addition to anyone's clown, circus or carnival themed toy collection.
