Antique Barn Raising Log Cabin Quilt - $2,400 - (Phoenix, AZ)

This dramatic cotton quilt measures 77 x 76" with 8 SPI. It is in excellent condition and is from Pennsylvania and dates from the 1870s. The sawtooth border and the wonderful array of early fabrics give a rich quality to this sophisticated design. While it is not always easy to attribute a date to a quilt, the age of the fabrics are a good start. This textile is truly a masterpiece.
