Rare Antique Goyard Steamer Trunk - Exceptional Condition - $7,500 - (Los Angeles, CA)

Goyard began producing high end trunks, luggage and assorted leather goods in the late 1800's. This is a rarely available, much sought after, classic Goyard steamer trunk with beautiful, original patina. Excellent condition both interior and exterior (slight wear on back side). Traditional black canvas background with hand painted chevron pattern. Goyard signature is embedded surreptitiously in the pattern. Males Goyard brass plate from 233 Rue St-Honore in Paris France attests to authenticity. Original shipping stickers from United States Lines probably from the early 20's. This very remarkable Goyard incorporates leather corners, original wood protective slatting, and heavy brass hardware. Each brass hinge is engraved with Goyard trademark. Immaculate satin ribboned interior sports four drawers with leather pulls and a separate tray.
