This is a beautiful old watch with a hand engraved coin silver case. This is a very early watch the was made in 1878! 139 years old! With a little cleaning and service, this should be a wonderful watch to own. This watch was built in 1878 according to my watch book based on the serial number of the watch. Watch works are marked: Elgin Natl. Watch Co., 617578, Elgin, Ill Watch case is marked: Coin 11436, 4362 Watch face is marked: Elgin Natl Watch Co I saw it run briefly after a little shake, but not for long.
