CHINESE EXPORT SILVER DRAGON MUG c1850 HOACHING CANTON This is a rare c1850 Chinese export silver dragon mug. Selling 40 year personal collection of Chinese export silver. From Hoaching. Club Street, Canton from 1850 to 1870. Tapering form double wall construction. Song birds in grape and leaf. Each of the birds unique. The grapes each formed individually as silver spheres, some raised higher than the others to show them more ripened. Shield never monogrammed. Full body dragon handle. Chinese export silver dragon mug is 4 1/4 inches 7 1/2 (standard) ounces. Signed Hoaching. Gothic H. Excellent condition. Lustreous silver patina throughout. Retains near original hand chased detail. Massachusetts residents are subject to sales tax.
