"This is a beautiful plate! Depicting the "founders of our republic". It has cameos of Washington, Jefferson, Franklin and Lafayette set in a border of blue flowers with the white house pictured in the center. Identified on the back in a beautiful medallion as made by Lewis Strauss and Sons. Made in England . Possibly made for the Great Centennial celebration of 1876."...10 1/4" in diameter. A Historical plate in very nice condition.
