Original quarter-plate daguerreotype of a beautiful woman and her cute daughter, whose dress is hand-tinted blue. Hard to tell in my scan but in person, "Washburn & Co, Artists, New Orleans"is clearly visible on the pad. Housed in a full case with covers separated along the spine. It has been resealed at some point, looks like with Filmoplast P. Condition is very good overall with a few tiny mat abrasions.
