Vintage Original Portrait Photo of Movie Star JOAN CRAWFORD circa 1945. She is photographed wearing the famed “necklace of bells” made especially for her by prestigious costume jewelry designer JOSEFF of HOLLYWOOD. This photo session was around the time of Crawford’s Oscar winning performance in the film MILDRED PIERCE. The photo has been inscribed and autographed “Hi to Louie / from / Joan Crawford”, hand signed by Crawford in blue ink. Originally an 8x10, the borders have been trimmed, actual photo measurements are approximately 7.5 X 9”. The glossy photo has a light-sepia tone. Very slight impressions at corners from removal from a photo album, signs of light handling. Very good condition.
