27" Antique Bisque Doll AW My Sweetheart Adolf Wislizenus B. Illfelder & Co. - $675 - (Hurricane, UT)
I am liquidating part of my grandmothers estate. She was an expert doll collector and restorer for 60 plus years. 27" Antique Adolf Wislizenus, My Sweetheart, Child Doll. Bisque socket head, brown sleep eyes with hair lashes, painted upper and lower lashes, brown human hair wig styled in ringlets, open mouth with 4 teeth and dimple in chin. Composition ball jointed body. Blush on top of hands, knees and top of feet. Red lines around toenails. Clothes - Period dress, full slip, pantaloons, shoes, socks and a straw hat with silk flowers. Clothes are not original but are handmade. Shoes may look blue in pictures, they are lavender. CONDITION - Excellent - No cracks or chips. Nice face paint. All fingers and toes. Left hand has been repaired. Cracks in right hand. Looks like doll primer paint on arms, body and legs. Arms do not hold a pose. Could use a light face washing. I'll leave that to the pro's. Wig possibly original and repaired. The pate is not original. I only removed them enough to stuff the head. Illfelder, page 466 Coleman book (vol 1), brown sleep eyes, human hair, open mouth. I took the clothes off to take pictures. I'm not putting them back on, but they are included.
