Mountain Dulcimer, Black Walnut with Cherry Top - $420 - (Sewell, NJ)

This Mountain Dulcimer is made of Black Walnut with Northern Cherry top. The Fingerboard is Cherry with Walnut overlay, 27" VSL with Maple position dots. Cherry rosette sound holes are beautifully laser-cut daffodil patterns. The body is 2 inch deep- almost 8" across the lower bout, 6" across the upper and under 3" across the narrow waist. It produces a lovely, warm tone. The flat tuning head is mounted with gorgeous Lacewood facing with a lovely parquetry inlay strip down the center. Another inlay strip graces the base of the Cherry tail block. This model (my "Minstrel-Modern") is strung with four equi-distant strings and is notched for a double melody option. Includes the 'zero" and the extra 1-1/2 fret. Chrome strap buttons are also installed for you. A really beautiful and heirloom quality Mountain Dulcimer from the bench of Bob Gerard Dulcimers !
