Antique Uneeda Biscuit Composition boy doll - $135 - (Bath, ME)
Vintage Uneeda Kid composition boy doll. 15 inches tall, in handmade clothing. The Uneeda Kid was produced by the Ideal Novelty and Toy Company of Brooklyn, New York, through a licensing agreement in 1914 with the National Biscuit Company, who produced the well-known cracker. Hard stuffed cloth body, with composition head, molded painted hair, composition lower arms and hands, painted lower legs, black painted boots. He has crackling on his face, and there has been some repainting to face and hair, long ago. His boots were originally shiny black, and I believe these were also repainted. No cracks or damage on the boots. He is wearing a handmade boy outfit, completely handsewn, of short pants and a shirt ( not his original look, but well done.) This boy is very hard to find in any condition, and this well-loved fellow has both character and charm.
