1920's 25" Composition Doll Original Dress Excellent Condition - $225 - (Fredericksburg, TX)
I bought this darling 25" doll some years ago because she was a great example of early 1900's composition and she was in perfect condition and still is. She has a wonderful face with very good painting and brown tin eyes with original lashes. She has blush on her knees. Her original human hair is dry and thin but I still like the wig. Her dress and bonnet are original to her...they are in very good shape for the age of the garments. She has one mend on the dress...not very large and a few worn through areas that are very small. The dress closes in back with safety pins. I added the rest of her clothing..the slip, panties, socks and shoes. Her slip closes at the back neckline with a safety pin. Her crier works which is amazing for doll manufactured in the 1920's or possibly earlier about 1915..Her eyes open and close with ease. I believe she is an American doll. I have other unmarked composition dolls with the same wonderful composition...craze free also...don't know what the recipe was for the compo but it was sturdy .I will pack her very carefully and ship her by USPS Fully Insured Priority Mail.
