We have for sale an Antique Chatillon Scale Approved Type 33 Serial H Beautiful Chatillon Approved Type 33 Serial H, Circular Brass Hanging Scale. These are known as Spring Scales or Balance Scales this one was designed for the trades with a weight capacity of 100lbs. This is an extremely heavy scale with a total weight of 43 pounds designed for industrial use. The scale has a cast iron housing with large 13 ¼” diameter brass face and the carriage has a cast iron pan with brass hanging rails and hardware. This is a rare find and in wonderful condition the scale seems to measure accurately, the overall condition is very good the cast iron pan shows light surface rust on bottom (same as you would see on a cast iron skillet) and still has most of its original bronze color paint. Circa; 1875-1900 Marked; Chatillon Scale Approved Type 33 Serial H Measures; 13.25” face diameter, 45” total hanging length. Weighs; 43 pounds Condition; Works very well, but not tested for accuracy.
