VINTAGE SWEET SUE WALKING DOLL | 18" TALL From the early 1950's This beautiful Collectors Doll with green eyes open/close and with upper lashes. Very clean and clear. Her hair seems to be cut, however, it is styled appropriately for this doll. She has the most delicate fingers I have ever seen, one has a slight scratch and can be seen in the photo library. Beautiful dress from the period has a small rip near her waist located on her side, stitch required. Wearing matching underwear and the wait band is relaxed. Surface cleaning is called for. She has no markings and I believe she could possibly an American Character doll. She has a very old metal walking mechanism inside her body. Her walking feature works great and her head turns from side to side quite nicely. The legs are loose and and need some sort of tightening. Excellent body. This dress can be seen int the American Character Dolls book by Judith Izen on page 86. Height: 18" Stand included.
