Vintage Full Size Antique Violin #82718BP3 - $275 - (Iowa City, IA)

This is an older full size violin , with a nice brown colored varnish.The neck is very well flamed.The back measures 14 & 3/16ths inches , and is made of nicely flamed maple. The violin is in excellent condition, and has no cracks. The bridge and strings are very old.The violin has a Stradivari label of 1774. The newer Pegs turn well. It needs a lttle better set up, a newer bridge,and strings etc. It has a very good tone, even with the ancient strings.It is sold as is for a repairman, or a collector.It would make a fine Bluegrass fiddle.
