Trombone microphone reflector shield for live sound monitoring, fits most mics - $20 - (Le Sueur, MN)
Playing a brass instrument in a loud, amplified band can be problematic. Even with electronic monitors, it can be difficult to hear yourself if the stage volume is high, which can cause over blowing, resulting in intonation and endurance problems. These mic-mounted reflector shields are incredibly effective in returning sound to the player, even in extremely loud playing situations. They're made from .1" thick clear acrylic, and are 11" in diameter. Large enough to reflect plenty of sound back to the player, but small enough to fit in most gig bags or backpacks. This version is "D" shaped (with trombone players in mind) and has a large 3" center opening, with a mesh of durable, flexible, rubber cordage that will allow it to be mounted to a wide variety of microphone types (see pictures). You'll be able to use this reflector with just about any mic that the sound person puts in front of you. Be sure to see my other listings for more options. Shipping to the continental US is $5.00. Sorry, no international shipping at this point.
