Shank fits a trumpet mouthpiece reasonably well. "Gisbourne" of Birmingham is the maker of the bell section. Documented as being in business from 1839 to 1913. Well known for high-quality brasses, we've read. French slide, faintly stamped "Antoine Courtois / Brevete' / 88 rue Marais St. Martin / Paris", which means between 1880 and 1898".
