ANTIQUE BLOWN GLASS AND HAND PAINTED PITCHER AND SIX GLASSES -SAPPHIRE BLUE- - $275 - (Lewiston, ID)
Very pretty sapphire blue lemonade or water pitcher with six matching glasses. The blue is a beautiful shade...best described as sapphire with a cobalt blue base and handle. Hand painted enamel floral design of blues, whites, yellow, and gold. This is a ruffle top pitcher which measures 10 1/2" in height, and the glasses measure 4" in height. I see no flaws in this pitcher. All six glasses are in fantastic shape; no loss of enamel or scratches. Three of the glasses have minor imperfections on the rim. One glass has an "uneven rim", I don't know if it was made this way as it is smooth when running a finger over it. Perhaps it was chipped and then polished off. Flea bite in rim of this glass as well. Another glass has some flea bites along the rim. The third glass that is not perfect has a flea bite that has an unusual spot that looks like it is inside the glass at the rim. All of these glasses have a frosted band around the middle in which the hand painted flowers have been applied. This set is stunning and in fantastic shape.
