vintage sony reel to reel tc-366 - $699 - (Old Forge, PA)
Hi , I'm selling this unit for an elderly man who lives near me . He said he bought it in Japan in the early 70's where he was stationed . Brought it home, unboxed it put it in a closet and thats where its been ever since . There was a clear raincoat like cover over it ( which will be included with this sale ) . He said he never used it , and it sure looks that way . A friend of mine who knows about reel to reels came over and inspected it and said he can't find any sighs of use , no tape dust , or ware marks on the heads or rollers . He did plug it in and lifted an arm near the heads with a Q-tip and tested the play , FF and reverse , and red lights lit up in the meters when he hit the record buttons . That was the extent of our testing . He looked inside through the vents in the rear and said its spotless . The case is 9.9 out of 10 just a slight rub mark on some of the edges . The clear dust cover has one tiny crack about 1/4 of an inch at the bottom corner where something bumped it otherwise it looks new . The power cord is really flexable and has that new greasy feel to it . It also comes with the original rca cables that say Sony on them . PLEASE look at the pictures for more information , and if you need any other pictures PLEASE let me know . It also comes with the original Sony take up reel and rubbers to hold the reels in place . There's no instructions or box . You will recieve whats pictured ( along with the plastic cover ) . This untested unit has to be sold as BROKEN FOR PARTS OR REPAIR . Will be packed with utmost care but not responsable if damaged in any way during shipping . I will pay for extra shipping insurance . Sold as is no returns . Thanks .
