I installed the EPROM version 2 (as you can see on the welcome screen pictures)It was originally a version 1, I bought an EPROM Version 2, this is why there is no « version 2 »sticker on the front. The 128 new patches from Patchman Music let you hear the potential of this amazing instrument. Every note played is unique, just as on an acoustic instrument, where minute differences in playing technique from note to note affect the timbre and quality of the sound produced. It accurately reproduces the transitions between notes, which are as much a part of music as the note themselves. The effects are specially designed to complement and enhance the VL1-m's voices. It is also possible to play imaginary instruments, which exist only within the world of VA Synthesis. For example, a trumpet mouthpice on a saxophone body, or a pluck string on a Pipe. The VL1-m is designed to be played from almost any MIDI controller. It allows you to use and adapt techniques developed on your existing equipment. The controllers allows you to play with a degree of expression never heard before. I used it mostly with my Akai EWI, but also with my keyboard controller with patches such as Basses and percussions.
