MARANTZ 7C Stereo Tube Preamp Preamplifier Vintage - $6,444 - (Lynbrook, NY)
Presenting a fine example of the legendary Marantz 7C Stereo Tube Preamplifier. We purchased this with a 10B and pair of Model 9s from the original owner's daughter. The preamp has new caps on the main board. The original unstable selenium rectifiers were upgraded with quality diodes and a full bridge at AnaLogiQue Systems Labs NYC. Not sure exactly when though. The yellow ones look like high quality metalized polyester polypropylene film caps. All filter caps look original. As it goes these were upgrades that really improved the preamp sonicaly. It was all neatly and beautifully done. Cosmetics are excellent as you can see. The 12AX7A tubes on board are high quality International C 10M tubes made in Great Britian. Probably Mullard. We usually get $100 each for those. The correct wood case with no screen is real nice also. Performance is excellent. No hum or noisy controls. Original bown selector switches are there. Serial # : 16565 It will be expertly packed. Insurance will be adied when price is determined.
