Large hand painted tole solid wood box folk art sailing ship & flowers - $35 - (Beaumont, TX)
The tole painting on this box is quite nice. Including the lid, it measures 13” wide, 3 ¾” tall, and 8” deep. The lid is not hinged and lifts off. The main box inside and out is a muted green. The oval has a gray/blue background for the sky and water. There are touches of gold and white. If you look close you will see 2 fish kissing in the water. Because of the nautical theme and the fish and flowers, this box could be a good gift for a man or woman. It is in very good condition with the only chipping is where the lid rests.
