Fully restored Marantz 2245 in a beautiful, original Marantz WC-22 walnut case. All boards recapped; a variety of audiograde Panasonic and Elna Silmic II capacitors were selected, with upgraded Wima & Panasonic films used on tone and phono boards. Audiophile Nichicon Gold-Tune main filter caps, new Omron relay, and new transistors were installed in several key areas, the list goes on and on. All service adjustments performed to bring system back to proper factory specifications. All controls and switches cleaned and lubed for many years of quiet operation. New vellum and lamps for dial display to bring back that wonderful Marantz glow. Factory advertised at 45 watts/channel into 8 ohms; after restoration, now coming in at a conservative 54 watts/channel into 8 ohms before clipping. This has been my daily driver for months in combination with some JBL and Marantz speakers. No issues whatsoever; this will be a centerpiece for someone's vintage collection.
