This is a soft cover first edition of this, the first book published in the English language on the subject of television. Published by Sir Isaac Pitman & Sons, Ltd. in 1926, it is the most definitive description of the earliest days of television, including a photo of the very first recognizable picture seen on a television screen. It is an ex-library book, however, beyond the markings and etc. (see photos) on the first two pages, the inside of the back cover, and the Dewey Decimal sticker on the spine, the book is in VG condition. The binding and the spine remain nice and solid with only a slight tear to the top and bottom of the front hinge. There are no marks beyond those described and all pages are free of dog ears, creases, or tears. Seven chapters, 62 pages, and illustrated. Printed in London by W.S. Caines, Ltd.
