17" to 17.5" Theo Sommer handmade Dressage saddle The saddle: This is a saddle handmade by Theo Sommer, a respected German saddle maker. This saddle is made from beautiful and supple calfskin leather. The narrow twist ensures the rider can have a long and quiet leg in the correct position to give precise aids that support the horse optimally. The gusseted rear panels distribute the weight of the rider well. This saddle gives the horse a lot of shoulder freedom for more open, free gaits. The size: The seat measures 17.2", so right between 17" and 17.5", and is perfect for an average adult woman. The saddle is stamped 30, which would be a medium tree, and measures about 5" D to D. It should fit on a variety of horses with some withers. The condition: This is a used saddle in overall very good condition. 1 of the Theo Sommer decorative screws has been replaced with a regular one, see picture. Someone wrote with a silver marker on the underside of the saddle, not visible while riding, billets and tree appears to be good. Normal signs of wear such as smal scratches or discolorations that happen with all used saddles. Please look at pictures carefully to see the condition of the saddle.
