Regina Sandreuter Early Porcelain Doll" Xandra" 12 Part Jointed BEAUTIFUL - $2,000 - (Catonsville, MD)
On auction is a Regina Sandreuter porcelain doll, dating back to 1994. The doll is "Xandra", 12 part jointed: neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, and knees. When the Sandreuters began making porcelain dolls they started at the end of the alphabet to assign names. The first three porcelain dolls had names beginning with X,Y, and Z. Xandra is part of the second set porcelain dolls made by the Sandreuters. Her head is #46 of 100 heads with that facial sculpt. Her outfit was limited to 25. Xandra has a lovely face with beautiful brown eyes; one of the nicest of the porcelain facial sculpts. Her outfit appears to be made of a synthetic material; rare as the Sandreuters usually preferred either cotton or silk fabric. Her panties are made of the same fabric that was used for the buttons. Her hat is slightly coming apart as you can see in the photos: it was that way when I purchased her 20 odd years ago. Xandra has been stored in a cabinet in a smoke free home. She will come with a wooden bench also made by the Sandreuters. The bench will be taken apart for shipping. It is easliy put back together (purposely made that way). Buyer to pay actual priority shipping with insurance. As Xandra is not packed please do not pay until you receive an invoice as the shipping cost on ebay reflects ONLY shipping which is only a guess; insurance cost will be based on sale price.
