1948 Martin 2-15 Mandolin - $975 - (Berthoud, CO)

Up for consideration is a vintage 1948 carved spruce top and book-matched and carved Flamed maple back Martin mandolin. This has been professionally re-conditioned. There is a crack by on F-Hole that was repaired, and a couple of the tuner buttons have been replaced. Ebony fretboard and frets are in great shape.Neck is positioned just right giving an incredible action and has great punch. This mandolin plays as a Martin should. There are some little dings but we are talking about a 70 year old instrument. And it sounds better than ever. Hate to give this one up but too many instruments to play. Thanks for looking.
