A nice extendable book rack it can be opened to accommodate 21 1/2" of books and also made shorter to accept a few . The wood is walnut and maple. The one end is fixed the other sliding on the dowel rods. Very nice in nice condition. Nice if you have several books on the go or a small collection of kitchen cookbooks .
