RAPP –AUKTION 2010 CATALOGS (2): SAMMLUNG TICINO & SCHWEIZ, EUROPA, UBERSEE, JUNE 2010, VERY GOOD CONDITION. I have acquired a number of stamp catalogs and similar and know nothing about them although one can look them up online. These two large, hard cover catalogs are very well made, quite elaborate in their make-up and feature lovely color images of the “philatelia” being offered at the June 4, 2010 Auction by Auktionshaus Rapp of Switzerland. In fact, these books are so nicely made that I can only assume that they were intended to serve as eventual reference books for materials involved and that therefore someone out there might really like to have them. These two large books are bound in silvery (the larger book) and also a gold paper covered hard boards with white titles on cover and spine and a lovely multi-color coat of arms from the company. They measure 8 ¼ x 11 inches, and contain 583 and 217 pages, respectively. The explanatory information in each book, for the perspective bidders, is trilingual, in German, English and French. Most of the books, however, are images, descriptions and information about the stamps and other philatelia on offer at the auction, printed on a super white high quality paper. Condition: Both books are in very good condition. The covers are clean and highly presentable in both books, with just a bit of bumping to the corners and base of the spine. Inside, the books are unmarked and undamaged in any way and the pages and plates are clean and bright from cover to cover. The hinges are fully intact in these well made, sewn bindings and accordingly, the bindings are still tight and sound. These books are not ex-library. You will not be disappointed on condition. Please see the photos although the 12 photos possible in an eBay listing can hardly do justice to these books and their contents.
