This a great Country Store advertising item - a 1938 illustrated postal flyer/mailer from Corey's Grocery, Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania. The illustrated flyer promotes the "Specials for March 4th and 5th (1938), including food items, laundry, cleaning and other household products. Many popular products of the period are among the 21 illustrated items, including Bliss Coffee, Post Toasties, Swansdown Cake Flour and "Grape Nuts, Dizzy Dean's Favorite Cereal, Pkge. 17c." This advertising flyer is printed on light green paper and measures 19" x 12-1/2" and, when folded for mailing, 9-1/2" x 4-1/4." The folded front side is marked "Sec. 562, P. L. & R.," is cancelled "Conneaut Lake, PA." and addressed "Miss Alice Thomas, Local." This vintage advertising flyer is in good condition for its age with some edge and fold seam fading and stains on the folded back side. The buyer pays a flat rate shipping fee of $2.85.
