1900s Birdsell Advertising Amazing Litho Illutrated Book Alfalfa Huller Farming - $40 - (Lees Summit, MO)
Circa 1914 advertising book catalog for Birdsell Alfalfa Hullers in South Bend Indiana. This book measures 5.5 x 8.5 inches and has 48 pages. It provides an illustrative look at all the different farming machinery made for hulling and seeding, with several testimonial articles of farmers and ranchers swearing by the machines. Most impressive is a full page spread in the middle with a colorful lithography illustration of the huller, right off the factory line....with a wind stacker and self-feeder. Below that is an illustration of a train carrying a shipment of clover and alfalfa hullers on Friday Aug 22, 1913. The cover and book does have wear, there are stains on the front and back, some light paper scuffing on the front and back corners as shown, inside there is a stain that is on several pages at the bottom spine; however the rest of each page is crisp and clean. Enjoy!
