This is a beautiful signed Val St. Lambert cobalt blue crystal vase, hand cut and enameled. It has an ovoid form with cobalt to clear palmette and a cameo and gilt band decorated with a continuous oriental landscape with figures. Signed on bottom: Val St. Lambert and Hubert L'ega, the number 80/950, 1978. Measure approx 5"- top diameter, diameter of base-3 1/2", diameter of widest part is 6", high-9 1/4", thickness of crystal-1/2". Weight by 6lb 7oz ( ~3kg). Vase is in excellent condition, with no chips or scratches, with the exception of a few minor ones on the bottom, see pics. The large spots on the bottom are the remains of felt pads that are mostly gone, and can be easily removed. One figure (See last pic) has a tiny bit of gold worn? or could have been that way from the start.This beautiful crystal vase was made in Belgium in 1978.
