Up for sale is the threaded Spike that fits Clem Caldwell's screw bowl Pipe tomahawk. Clem's pipe tomahawk is pictured in color top left page 94 in John Baldwin's book titled TOMAHAWKS PIPE AXES of the American Frontier. This is also known as Jan Sorganfrie's Pipe tomahawk as Jan purchased it from Clem's widow in 2007. Clem got this pipe Tomahawk from Julian gentry. The Tomahawk sold a few years back at Cowan's. But Cowan's knew not the Provenance or that there was another part to the hawk. This spike and the hawk are pictured together as it has a screw on bowl for smoking. unscrew the bowl and screw on the spike. It is 3-3/4 " long by 1" wide by 3/8" at the threads. it may well fit other hawks that have a screw on bowl but it was made for the pictured hawk.
