Tenoner-Yates American No 2 1/2 - $9,999 - (Leesburg, VA)

Yates-American No. 2 1/2 single-end tenoner. Four-head DMD (3 ph) machine: two tenon motors, two cope motors, no cutoff saw or motor. All four motors work well, butneed going through. Vent screens all appear to be present. One cope motor probably needs new bearings. All four motors controlled by single switch. Panel on front lower left with labels for motors is a cover for the overloads. All four mag switches arelocated on the left side of the machine. Contacts were not examined. Slight vibration on startup, could be knife balance or bearings. Lower cope motor disengaged from vertical adjustment lead screw, the motor has been lowered beyond the bottom of the lead screw; the motor probably simply needs toraised to be engage the lead screw. Adjustment functions operational (except one, see below), but ways and gibs could stand to be cleaned. Factory motor lead screw crank handle is included. Length stops don't appear to be present.
