CONN MODEL 20R (FOX MODEL 41) BASSOON POLYPROPYLENE PLASTIC, PLAYABLE CONDITION - $1,499 - (Halifax, NS)

We have a couple of Conn polypropylene bassoons for sale. They are in good condition with no cracks or chips evident. This listing is for one of them, the one that is marked 030. The case has a red lining. It is a complete, ready to play, instrument and has just been serviced and had any necessary repairs completed by Bond Music Repair here in Nova Scotia. It includes a number 2 bocal. They were surplussed by a local university. I spoke with Fox and they told me they manufactured it and it was shipped from their factory in 1969. Serial number is #1917. They have a different set of serial numbers for the units they produced for Conn. It is a Conn model 20R which was identical to the Fox 41 that was current at the time Conn asked Fox to manufacture for them. Fox told me that later changes made to the Fox model 41 were not incorporated into later Conn units at Conn's request. It is stamped Conn but I can't see any model number stamped on it. The latches on the case were made by the Presto Lock Company of Garfield, NJ. Free shipping to USA/Canada. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
