This black lacquer coromandel screen is a magnificent hardstone screen with jade, mother of pearl,coral and hardstone inlays, Circa Qing Dynasty. Late 19th century, early 20th century. The screen depicts various characters under the cherry blossom and Chinese wisteria trees. They are relaxing, enjoying the beauty of the outdoors and some even being kept cool by another fanning them. Truly Spectacular. The opposite side of the screen is lovely as well depicting a floral motif. The screen is 72 inches tall x 96 inches wide x 1 inch deep.
