VINTAGE TENOR SAXOPHONE NECK - FROM POST SELMER BUYOUT BUESCHER SUPER 400 - $175 - (Milwaukee, WI)

THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY AUCTION. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND MY POLICIES BEFORE PLACING YOUR BID. Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list! *Today I am listing the latest installment of mouthpieces and other sax gear which I am selling on consignment for saxophonist Frank Catalano. For those of you who may not be familiar, Frank is a true heavy hitter in the jazz world and has been featured on multiple Grammy winning albums. He is also the quintessential gear hound, having amassed a collection of over 500 mouthpieces! He now endorses and plays Jody Jazz mouthpieces exclusively so he is purging some of his massive collection of mouthpieces he has acquired over many years. Be sure to check out my other items for more great mouthpieces from this collection. There will be more to come later, so add me to your favorites list and check back later to see new additions. This listing is for a vintage Buescher tenor saxophone neck. It is from a late 1960's era, post Selmer buyout, Buescher 400 tenor. It should work with any post WWII era Buescher though (professional 'fitting' might be necessary). This neck will need a little work. It has a bit of pull down, and the octave key saddle is pushed in slightly on one side. It could also stand to have its octave key hinge tube swedged. This would be easy work for an experienced instrument repair tech though. The lacquer, obviously, is quite worn. The tenons are perfectly round. The main tenon diameter is approximately 1 & 3.5/32nd's of an inch. Please be advised that, as with all necks, 'fitting' to your instrument by a qualified instrument repair technician may be required for a proper air tight seal. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks again for looking!
