This auction is for a natural, untreated jadeite jade ring set in 18k (marked) yellow gold. The jadeite is cut as a marquise cabochon which dates it to the late 1800s - early 1900s, along with the style of the 18K stamp. The dome is slightly slanted as is the case with early jadeite cabochons. Color is an unenhanced mottled translucent green. The size of the jadeite is 17.5mm by 7.5mm or approximately 2.5 carats. (measurements are approximate.) Ring is marked 18k. Weight is 3.89 grams. Thanks for looking.
