This camera is similar to the very quiet operating Electro 35 RANGEFINDER ... except it came later. I have one of those and do enjoy it. There is no battery but you can order one, I can tell you where. So I think it works. I looked thru the back and lens while snapping verion photo light levels. The camera electronics controls the shutter speed. These are so quiet you may wonder if it is operating.
