1961 Fender Super Amplifier Nice !!..........Real Nice !!! - $4,250 - (Painesville, OH)
Up for sale is an all original 61 Fender Super amp in stunning condition. If you have been looking for a super, it doesn't get much nicer then this one. The original tolex is in beautiful condition with a couple of very minor imperfections, almost unnoticeable. The original wheat grill cloth is equally as nice but does have a very minor issue just below one input jack, that again is almost unnoticeable and the Jensens are in excellent condition, but they due have a some rust on them. All of these issues are very minor, but I just wanted to be through with the description. Otherwise, it does not get much better than this cosmetically. The electronics are all original including the transformers, the Jensen P10Qs (including the cones), the caps/resistors and even the tubes are the originals. The amp was not used for many moons, so it just received a light servicing by first slowly bringing the voltage up on a variac for 12 hours to reform the caps and then the typical cleaning of pots, sockets, jacks along with biasing, voltage checks, etc. The amp sounds incredible, performs flawlessly and is as quiet as a church mouse at idle. The amp comes with the original footswitch. More pics are available and the amp can be seen locally at our shop Vintage Tone Music in Painesville, Ohio. To sum it up, a beautiful amp with the tone......... ! And, if it doesn't sell at the advertised price, I going to keep this one. All amps, pickups and speakers are shipped in working condition and must be tested within 72 hours upon delivery for any issues, so an insurance claim can be made on a timely basis with the shipper.
