1962 Fender Vibrosonic Amplifier Nice & Rare !! - $3,950 - (Painesville, OH)
Up for sale is an all original 62 Fender Vibrosonic amp in fabulous condition. You don't see many brownface vibrosonics these days, especially one like this. It's all original except for a grounded power cord and an old WHF recone. The original tolex is in beautiful condition with a few very minor imperfections. The original wheat grill cloth is equally as nice but does have a very minor issue as seen in the one pic. Otherwise, it does not get much better than this cosmetically. The electronics are all original including the transformers and the JBL D130. Even the preamp tubes are the originals, however the 5881s have been replaced with a matched pair of nos Tungsols from the era. The amp was not used for many moons, so it just received a light servicing by first slowly bringing the voltage up on a variac for 12 hours to reform the caps and then the typical cleaning of pots, sockets, jacks along with biasing, voltage checks, etc. The amp sounds incredible, performs flawlessly and is as quiet as a church mouse at idle. The amp comes with the original footswitch and power cord. More pics are available and the amp can be seen locally at our shop Vintage Tone Music in Painesville, Ohio. To sum it up, a beautiful, rare amp ! All amps, pickups and speakers are shipped in working condition and must be tested within 72 hours upon delivery for any issues, so an insurance claim can be made on a timely basis with the shipper.
