RARE 1965 Wizard of Oz Proctor & Gamble Puppet Theater with complete set of original 8 hand puppets. Hand Puppets were offered by Proctor & Gamble who were sponsors of the 1965 & 1969 telecasts of the WIZARD OF OZ Metro Goldwyn Mayer movie. They offered a set of eight hand puppets free with the purchase of select Proctor & Gamble products. The collectible set includes: Dorothy, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, Wicked Witch, Glenda the Good Witch, Toto, The Wizard & Tin Man. For .25 cents and a proof-of-purchase, you could also send away for a cardboard theater and an original adaptation of the OZ story in script form. All of these items plus the instruction card are included in our auction. ***As a bonus, we are also including 3 extra puppets plus the cowardly lion head only. These are pictured in our last three photos. RARE Wizard of Oz Theater measures approximately 24" x 24" when assembled. The theater is missing part of the top flag. There is a tear by the left tower & a fold on the left third flag. The script book contains 12 numbered pages and is in very good vintage condition with a light bend to the bottom corner. All puppets are in very good vintage condition. This complete set is very hard to find in any condition, as the cardboard theater did not survive a lot of play.
