A Very Rare, True Victorian Decorated Crystal Cane, Flawless & Massive 37" Long. - $175 - (Brooks, GA)

I purchased this wonder in England, and have shown the UK as country of manufacture. It was a common practice in England during the 1800's for anyone, with the means to afford a parlor room, to keep a glass cane hanging at its entrance. This was a show of wealth and health, as it was believed these canes attracted germs, spirits, and other unwanted flotsam. It was a ritual each morning for the Lady of the house, or one of the servants for the more wealthy households, to take this cane down and wipe away all the unwanted and unwelcomed threats that had attempted to invade the home. I'm sure this cane's size and weight would have frightened off any such nefarious invaders. I will be listing many additional canes and umbrellas in the coming months.
