This live edge cedar shelf is milled and created in Northern Washington by our family, all members in the family play a role in this creation. Dad and Grandpa fall the tree. The kids help get it to the mill, cut the shelf, plane the boards, and sand it down. Mom does the magic on the computer. All the cedar trees that we harvest are dead standing and a danger to our family and the forest, so our goal is to re-purpose the wood and teach the children about creating from our own land.
