RARE SILVER ETCHED CRYSTAL HIP FLASK EMILE LANGLOIS 1888-1924 PARIS FRANCE - $800 - (Bangor, ME)

This rare and extraordinary spirit hip flask was made in Paris, France by Emile Langlois. He was a master silversmith during the 1888 to 1924 period located at 67 rue Montogueil, Paris. This high quality crystal flask is etched on the front and back with a stylized floral spray and the the sides etched with floral designs. Condition commensurates with the age with just light surface scratching on silver, the cap has a tight screw fit. Tiny E L (Emile Langlois) inside diamond shape with center glove insignia are on both lip and silver body. The silver assay mark is a Minerva yet so small have to see with a jeweler's loupe. Height is 4.25" and is 2.25 "wide and weighs 111 grams. Monogrammed DMD on side of flask. The work of Emile Langlois is rare and extremely hard to find. ONE OF A KIND!
